A Message from the Friends of the Lied
Nancy Biles, Board of Directors
I hope you enjoyed the recent performance of The Merry Widow at the Lied Center. The Czech Opera Prague is a talented company with excellent singers, dancers and musicians, and it was a joy to see them perform again at the Lied. I was pleased to see such a large audience make it to the show after the football game. The final score certainly put the crowd in the right frame of mind to enjoy this exuberant musical comedy. As a Friend of the Lied, I also had the privilege of attending a pre-performance dinner in the Seymour Gallery with entertainment provided by faculty and students from KU's Music and Dance department. It was the perfect kick-off to a lovely evening of song and laughter.
I ask you to join the Friends of the Lied to support the future of performing arts in our community. It’s easy to become a Friend of the Lied.

Gifts from the Friends of the Lied contribute another 12% - or more- towards the overall costs.
I am proud to be a Friend of the Lied, and I encourage you to join me in supporting performing arts in our community. I hope to see you again at the Lied Center soon.
Sincerely,
Nancy Biles
