Studio Lied

Studio Lied is an integrated program for secondary students and their teachers. However, the website is developed for audience members of all ages who are interested in learning more about the artists, the art form, the creative process or the theme and background of this performance. In addition to performances, the Adventures in Imagination Studio Lied program includes opportunities such as interacting with the performers, discussions related to performances, and online study materials.

On this Studio Lied website, you will learn about the performance Catch-22, the Aquila Theatre Company, and Director Peter Meineck.  Here you will also find information about topics such as literary devices used in the novel Catch-22, forms of resistance to war, the role of art as war propaganda, and how the concept Catch-22 has taken on a life of its own.  This Lied Center site will help you prepare to fully enjoy an evening of word play, satire, and historical insights performed by unforgettable characters caught in a timeless Catch-22.
