Artistic Organization
The Cloud Gate Dance Foundation was established in 1988 to support the development of the Cloud Gate dance company and of dance in general. Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, founded in 1973, is the main dance company, composed of two dozen dancers that tour the world. Cloud Gate Dance School was founded in 1998 to make dance education more widely available, thereby bringing the joy of dance to Taiwanese students of every age. Created in 1999, Cloud Gate 2 tours campuses and communities in Taiwan, as well as fostering young choreographers.
