Quinton Cheney, Board of Directors Student Representative Wow, what a night; I hope you had a much fun as I did with the Second City Touring Co.! There are few things I enjoy more than an evening spent immersed in music and laughter, and the Second City did not disappoint. A performance like that always reminds me that the best comedy points out just how absurd our day to day lives can be. We've all had bad dates and awkward meetings at work; some of you may have even wanted to object at a wedding. Sometimes it takes talented comedians to make us take a step back and laugh at ourselves. Second City has made its name as a starting point for countless comic talents. I have a feeling we'll be seeing some of those faces again, and when you do you will be able to brag that you saw them first at the Lied Center.
I ask you to join the Friends of the Lied to support the future of performing arts in our community. It’s easy to become a Friend of the Lied.

Gifts from the Friends of the Lied contribute another 12% - or more- towards the overall costs.
I am proud to be a Friend of the Lied, and I encourage you to join me in supporting performing arts in our community. I hope to see you again at the Lied Center soon.
Sincerely,
Quinton Cheney
