2009 Teachers Summer Workshop

Last week, over 50 teachers and administrators from USD #497 gathered for the Teachers Summer Workshop 2009. This free event featured two sets of 40-minute workshops in the morning, two 3 hour workshops in the afternoon, and a curriculum planning session for teachers to discuss what they learned throughout the day and how to incorporate it in their classrooms this year. The morning workshops addressed different ways to integrate the arts into the classroom while the afternoon sessions specifically tied to the 2009-2010 Lied School Performance series. From African drumming to Native dances to puppets, an exciting and informative time was had by all!
