Third Grade
Theatre Arts Day

Students get the "backstage" tour

Friday, Sept. 11

More than 300 kids and their teachers from Prairie Park, Deerfield, Sunset, Broken Arrow and Cordley Elementary schools took part in the second 3rd Grade Theatre Arts Day on Sept. 11. Students had the opportunity to go “backstage” and experience dance, make-up, vocal expression, puppetry, mask theatre and improvisation.

The kids also visited the Lied Center and Lawrence Arts Center stages to view the technical side of the theatre. The hope is to grow the program so all USD 497 3rd graders will be able to take part next year.
