Grasp. Trap. Capture. Choice.
Joseph Heller served in WWII as a bombardier on a B-25 bomber in over 60 missions. He started writing his novel, Catch-22 in 1953 and it was published in 1961.
The film Catch-22 was released in 1970, written by Buck Henry, based on Heller’s book.
Heller created a small and mostly unseen stage play based on his novel in 1971. The Aquila Theatre Company has revived Heller’s original show and will be performing his original play.
While they are here, the Aquila Theatre Company will also perform a school-only abbreviated version of Julius Cesar for sixth- to 12th grade students from across Lawrence.
